2017 AWSC Snowmobile Family of the Year
Wisconsin’s snowmobile trail system is made possible by the volunteer efforts of AWSC snowmobile clubs and members. Each year, the AWSC solicits nominations for their “Of The Year Winners” to recognize those club members who go above and beyond.
Recognition is given to a young snowmobiler, a family, dealership, groomer and an adult snowmobiler at the annual Fall Workshop held in October or November.
The requirement for family of the year is this “Snowmobile families that have demonstrated a deep commitment to snowmobiling and who are involved in snowmobile organizations striving to make the sport even more enjoyable in the future.”
We would like to proudly announce that the Stohr Family has been selected as the AWSC’s 2017 Family of the Year!
The Stohr family have been heavily involved in the sport of snowmobiling for the last 50 years.
John was a founding member of our club (Twin Runners) and has been an integral part of the sport not only at the local level but statewide. He has been a county director for 19 years and attends events and meetings all over the state.
His wife Julie and sons Jacob and Justin and there spouses are also heavily involved in our clubs various events and successes. The whole family is the epitome of the phrase “Snowmobile Family”.
Once again congratulations on a well-deserved honor to the Stohr family!
